Here we are again with another sale! As I try to adjust to my new business line - I mean life - I thought I'd celebrate the addition of the Cloth Diaper Market (CDM) to my Blooming Kids store in Manotick with a sale! You'll notice that some new items have been added the the CDM website - these are just some of the products that I carry in the store in Manotick - over time, I will be uploading most of Blooming Kid's retail products to the CMD site so there will be lots to chose from. In store, the sale will include 25-50% on children's and maternity consignment clothing and other store products that are currently not available online. The online sale is on for a week and will end at 5 pm August 27th. Blooming Kids store hours are Mondays to Fridays 10am to 5pm and Sundays from 11am to 4pm and is located at 5560 Manotick Main Street.

Please be patient with me, I know that Andrea provided excellent customer service and I will endeavour to be as great as she is. As a new business, it will have some growing pains and I hope to keep them to a minimum as the business adjusts to the new ownership. Thank you for your patience and I look forward working with you!

Cloth Diaper Market is moving!

The Cloth Diaper Market is in the process of moving our inventory over to Blooming Kids in Manotick, Ontario. While we're doing this, we'll be available on wednesday evenings at the store.

This Wednesday, July 9th, we'll be open from 7 to 9pm at Blooming Kids, 5560 Main St.

Feel free to stop by. We'll be stocking shelves, but we're quite happy to have you in to browse and answer any questions you may have.

All sizes of LoopyDos are now in stock again, we appologize for the delay for those... with the hemp shortage they were hard to get.

Happy Heiny's One Size and Monkey Doodlez Bamboo AIOs are our best sellers and are hard to keep in stock. We did just receive an order of Happy Heiny's INCLUDING a few cow print. Keep an eye out this weekend for those to be listed. Monkey Doodlez Bamboos have a new tangerine color and green camo print which we now have at both our locations. Make an appt to see our home showroom in Barrhaven or pop by Blooming Kids in Manotick to see for youself, you won't be dissapointed!

UV Natural Sunscreen is now in stock! This is an awesome sunscreen Ranked #1 SAFEST & MOST EFFECTIVE SUNSCREEN! These come in a 50g and 150b tube. Both Sizes are available at our home showroom in Barrhaven, Blooming Kids conseignment shop in Manotick and of course by online order to ship anytime.

We will now be phasing out Allens Naturally laundry detergent to be replaced with Canadian made Wonder Wash. Both are awesome detergents but we've decided to carry the one that works best for us. We're excited to be attending the annual Barrhaven Baby Show this year for the first time. The Manotick store has so far been a huge success... we are stocking more and more each day. Typically, if you'd like to see us there, we're there on monday-wednesday-friday mornings from about 10am til 11:15am (when I pick up my son at school). If you would like to make a special appointment to see us on one of those days, please call Nicola/Blooming Kids at (613) 692-4189 or myself at (613) 823-9286. We've added our Low Cost HPTs and OPKs as well as AMP & Bamboobino Breastpads. We also have a new item called the 'Potty Praiser'... undies with a snap in soaker to help with accidents, a chart, stickers & dry erase pen. There are a variety of wipes as well as Monkey Doodlez Bamboo Diapers.

We just received a shipment of Wool Wash & Lanolin products in and are expecting another brand in the next couple of weeks. We're also expecting a small order of SugarPeas Wool as well as other Canadian Wool products (mostly soakers) at the end of this week or early next week. Keep checking the website regularly for these new products.

xSmall & Small Thirsties Fab Fitteds & Covers are well stocked now and we're waiting for an order of Mediums & Larges next week sometime. We're well stocked with wipes and we have a few of the new doublers in stock now... smalls & larges.

Lastly, but certainly not least we have some more Bamboobino wipes & breastpads in stock. For those of you who were waiting, they're in the mail and on the way to you... we're sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience!

We hope your New Year is going fabulous!

We wanted to give you an important update regarding our Allens Liquid Laundry Detergent. Some of you have mentioned that when you go to purchase Allens online the shopping cart gives you an outrageous amount of shipping. Well, we're working on tweeking this for you. We have found the actual shipping charges with in Canada seem to be around the $13 range, give or take. We're now tweeking this even further by using shipping boxes that are appropriate sizes for the Allens bottles. Of course there will always be room to stuff a few extras in the box... a few diapers, inserts, wipes & even Dimpleskins, handmade soaps & other items. If you place allens in your shopping cart and shipping seems too much, please contact us with your postal code and what you want to order and we can give you a quote. Then if the cart charges too much, we can either refund the difference (as we have been doing) or charge the corrected amount when we process your credit card.

We now have some of the brand new Wahmies One Size diapers with Quick Hooks to adjust the waist settings. We have tried this diaper on Kylie and it's a wonderful fit. We've also heard its an amazing fit for newborns as well as toddlers. Some Moms have even been using this as a training pant simply sliding them up and down like underwear when potty learning! Monkey Doodlez Original, Micro & the brand new BAMBOO AIOs are here! The Bamboo Doodlez are newly released so we don't have the information page set up yet although they are ready to purchase. We'll get that information up tonight. They're all wonderful diapers. We knew the moment we received our testers we would love them & we do! They're Canadian made, have unique colors, are super soft (especiallyt he Bamboo) and are a great fit. We have limited quantities in stock, but because they are Canadian made they're quick to get so we've decided to offer them as 'special order'. Hello to all and happy new week!

We're excited to announce the addition of a couple lines of products to our store. The first is Canadian Made Monkey Doodlez Diapers. These diapers come in bright colors, both inside and out. We have The Original AIO, the microDoodlesz AIO, Pocket Doodlez and Doodlez Doublers. We have about 30 diapers on the way early this week and will also be taking special orders to be shipped directly from the Manufacturer. Right now we only have the Original AIO & the Doodlez Doublers listed on the site, but we will soon have them all listed. You can take a look at them here.

Tomorrow Wahmies is releasing their NEW One Size Pocket diaper and we're excited to say we already have some on the way to our store so that you can see them first hand. We can't give any details yet, but we can certainly tell you that they're one of a kind! Be sure to check out our store tomorrow for more details!

Fun fun, Knickernappies is giving away FREE diapers: 1 Disposinot pocket diaper + LoopyDo insert per week/per retailer for the month of January. We've already given away 2 diapers and are excited to be able to give away another 2. All you have to do is place an order and your name will be entered into the draw. Want more than one entry? Order more than once or order once/week for the next two weeks. How do we draw names you ask? I write up all the names on a piece of paper, fold it up and put it in a bowl. My son gets to pick 'words' as he puts it. Once he picks the name, I email the winner immediately to get your color choice and send that off to Knickernappies. She mails the diaper + insert directly to you... it's that easy to get a FREE diaper! Congratulations to our 2 winners so far. We're waiting on an order from Drybees/Wahmies as well as Thirsties and Annie Marie Padorie Diapers. AMP is finally stocking the AIOs in white and they'll be available to purchase soon. We've also been testing out an AMP sherpa fitted and we love it. Come back to look for it in the new year!

What's just arrived?
LoopyDos and SuperDos are stocked up again and we've received a small shipment of Happy Heinys One Size Pocket Diapers in Red, Navy and Black. The Purple Urchin soaps are here in the store, so feel free to make an appt. to stop by to sniff and try... they're quite wonderful. Look for new additions in the new year of a Baby Bar as well as a Shampoo Bar! We've added a Weleda Baby Care Kit as well as a great new product: Wellements Organic Gripe Water said to be very helpful in easing the discomfort of Colic.

We dropped him off then ran over to Milkface Nursingwear in Westburo to get another nursing top (I can't get enough of the 'Boob' nursing tops, they're amazing!), then all the way back to Manotick to pick up Myles for 11:30. By the time we got back home it was 12:15. I changed Kylie and to my amazement, she was still bone dry and the SuperDo still had room for more! What an amazing insert. I can't wait to try it out at night (we're waiting on a tester for a new nighttime pocket *wink*). We've also just received a couple of exciting new testers for Kylie to try and we're waiting on 3 others... we hope they get here soon so we can get busy testing and bring them into the store!

More news... Thirsties Fab Fitteds & Diaper Covers are here! We've sold out quickly of our x-small size but we are getting more in shortly. Thirsties also has a package of Fab Wipes and those will be in stock in the next week or so. Kylie has been using them for a couple of months now and they truely are 'Fab'ulous fitteds, covers & wipes!

Some of you having been waiting for more Baby Bits and they're here now. In a sample 1/2 ounze size and a 3 oz box. This is a great wipes solution for your diaper bag in a spray bottle, for your wipes container or wipes warmer. It's so simple to use... disolve 1 bit in a cup of hot or warm water and voila, you have a naturaly fragrant wipes solution. This is a staple in our household. We use it on Kylie's bum, to give our hands a quick wipe when we're out (the Tea Tree oil is an antibacterial property) or to freshen the air in the room.

We have also added the Bamboobino line of Bamboo hooded baby/toddler bath towels, hats, wipes & Mama breastpads to our showroom and they'll be coming soon to our online store.

Kylie is in the process of being a tester for another couple of new and exciting diapers that we're hoping to be carrying in our store very soon, so visit in a few weeks for more details!

And lastly, but certainly not least, we'll be adding some unique workshops coming in the next few months or early in the new year. We'll post a poll to see which will interest you the most and get those started as soon as we can get the program organized.

Hello everybody,

It was so great to meet everybody at the sale on saturday... soon to be Mamas with baby bellies, Mommys, Daddys, Babies and even some grandparents.

We're doing our best to get the store organized again and we'll soon be up to date. We've taken the Gently Used section down for now as we take stock of what's left from the sale and list a few new items.

We're discontinuing some items and getting some new items in the store. These announcements will be coming in the next couple of weeks. We're also in the process of testing some pretty neat products, so those will likely be coming to our shelves soon :)

As well, we're taking advantage of our empty shelves to change our showroom to help serve you better and we'll announce when it's ready. In the meantime we're still taking appointments, please excuse the dissaray while we're working, we promise we know where everything is :)

Kylie will likely be in my Mei Tai sling... so you won't really see what she's wearing. and I have a red backpack.

I tell you, it was one of those hot hot days where Myles and I had shorts on and were still hot so I'm super impressed with this!
